Abstract

The Progressive movement is a literary movement that emerged for the first time in the literature of the subcontinent in the 20^th century. Not only did this movement influence the literature of the subcontinent, but it also influenced other literatures around the world. It entered Pashto literature from Urdu literature. The main objective of this movement is for literature to represent real life and address the issues of people's lives. Amil" is a fiction book written by Dr. Sher Zaman Seemab, a renowned fiction writer in Pashto. This research paper analyze the elements of progressivism in the aforementioned book.
